Leicestershire Shared Reading

Overview

A Shared Reading Group for English Learners offers supportive English conversations sparked off by reading short stories and poems. It aims to help learners improve their reading, listening, speaking and social skills as well as their fluency and pronunciation.

The sessions are suitable for English Learners studying at Entry 3 (intermediate) or above and are for anyone who needs to gain confidence in using their language skills.

The sessions are led by an experienced Shared Reading Facilitator from Leicestershire Shared Reading, Dr Terri Eynon MBChB PGCertMedEd MA, a retired medical educator with a Masters in Literary Linguistics who has recently completed TEFL training.

Leicestershire Shared Reading (LSR) works in partnership with Culture Leicestershire, Leicestershire County Libraries and The Reader to run shared reading groups in public libraries.
